#WSD2020: Women and Sports Dialogue

Calls for Abstracts

Women and Sports Dialogue will be held in Abuja, Nigeria on March 4, 2020.

LOCATION

Abuja, Nigeria

Women and Sports Dialogue will focus on using sports for development, most especially in harnessing issues regarding women in sports and sports governance as a whole.

The dialogue will bring men and women together, from different spheres and field of life on ways forward.

Sports is a tool we are using to harness the ideologies of women, to encourage their full participation in sports, as athletes, leaders, administrator and decision makers; this conference is in commemoration of International Women Day 2020. Themed: Generation Equality – Realizing Women’s Right.

The conference is organized by FAME Foundation, Supported by UN Women, US Embassy, Abuja, MacArthur Foundation, and British High Commission in Nigeria.

Scholars and other experts from all walks of life, and sport activities are invited to share their expertise, good practices, and pursue knowledge transfer at the Women and Sport International Dialogue on, March 4, 2020.

There will be two plenary sessions with the following topics, namely;

Plenary Session 1: For Female Athletes to succeed in Tokyo 2020 and beyond.

Plenary Session 2: Sports Governance: Effects of Accountability and Transparency.

Call for Abstracts Details:

It is required that the Abstract should be a 200-350 words abstract in English language that will be presented within 15 minutes.

The Abstracts with its letter code and topic must focus on your proposed presentation

Abstract Features:

1. A brief Bio of Author
2. Title of Presentation
3. Author’s Full Name
4. The Main Topic must be in line with the Theme
5. The Abstract Deadline Submission is February 1, 2020
