FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.
FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.
Fame foundation organized a two-day event in commemoration of the International Women’s Day 2020. The first day was a conference themed, “Women and Sports Dialogue” held on March 4, 2020 at the Exhibition Pavilion, Area 10, Garki, Abuja.
The event was aimed at drafting a successful blueprint for female athletes at the Tokyo Olympics and beyond. The event was a gathering of academics and expert panelists, technocrats, sports advocate, football players and coaches; both male and female, media, and the general public.
Keynote speakers at the conference was the Representative of the Honorable Minister of Youth and Sports Development and the Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria; Amb. Yutaka Kikuta.

Two panel sessions were held at the dialogue;
The first panel discussion tackled the topic, “for female athletes to succeed at Tokyo Olympics and beyond” while at the second session, “Sports Governance: Efficacy of transparency, accountability and integrity”.
The International Women’s Day was sponsored by FAME in partnership with British High Commission Abuja, Bells Echo initiative, MacAurthur Foundation, Global Sports Mentoring Program, US Embassy, and Izzabites.
