FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.

The house met at 12:08pm, Hon, Buba Ibrahim Kalallawa the chief sponsor of the VAPPBill moved a motion for the first reading of ‘The bill for a law to prohibit all forms of violence against persons in private and public life and to provide maximum protection and effective remedies for victims and punishment of offenders and other related matters’.
The bill passed the FIRST READING, By the leave of the house second Reading of the bill was deferred to appropriate legislative day to allow for sensitization of members on the said Bill, in other for the members to make adequate contribution.
