FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.
FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.
FAME Foundation held her weekly HerSTEM training on September 3, 2021, at the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, Maitama, Abuja.
Attendance was taken with a total number of twenty- two participants, one teacher, two sign language interpreters, one volunteer, two ad-hoc staff, and two FAME Staff.
The class commenced at exactly 9:00 as the participants started a new course on Graphics design with Mr. Aliyu Isah.
Mr. Aliyu commenced the course with an introduction to graphic design. He also asked participants to share any knowledge or information they had on graphic design. He further explained the use of various tools on Corel draw software.
Halfway into the class was the tea break session.
The practical session began as participants designed a business flyer.
The participants were given an assignment that is to be submitted next week.
At the end of the class a pizza party was held, as HerSTEM participants bids Mr. Obinna, an active volunteer farewell as he returns to his base in the United States.
The next class is scheduled for September 10, 2021.
