FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.
FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.
FAME Foundation held her weekly HerSTEM training on October 15, 2021, at the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, Maitama, Abuja.
Total attendance was 29 participants, one sign language interpreter, one volunteer, two ad-hoc staff, one intern, two FAME Staff.
The class began at 9:30am. The class was taught by Miss Edu Oyama, FAME Foundation Administrative Officer, the basics of Microsoft Office Word such as how to change font text, font size, align the text (left, right, center), and how to make a text bold, italicize it as well as how to underline it. They were also taught how to change the colour of the text as well. At the end of the class, the HerSTEM participants were able to understand how Microsoft Office Word works and how to make use of its basic tools.
Halfway into the class, participants were served breakfast.
Afterwards, the participants began an engaging session where they continued their group presentation preparation, ahead of their graduation; which was coordinated by Miss Folake Oyebade, the Lead Volunteer at FAME Foundation Volunteers Assembly.
At the end of the session, lunch packs were shared, and information about the upcoming educational tour was shared with participants present.
