FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.
FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.
Women across all spheres and walks of life need to be allowed to take up the mantle of governance and leadership for significant and sustainable impacts on society.
This will translate into maximum attention and the efficient resolution of issues affecting women. To achieve that, Nigerian women need to establish a united front against inequality in governance and leadership and also provide a platform to mentor young aspiring women.
FAME Foundation is inviting women, ages 20-45, with vibrant minds and burning passion for significant impacts in their society to join the ‘Network of Young Women in Leadership and Governance’ and engage in actions geared towards addressing the issue of gender imbalance in Nigeria’s patriarchal system.
The Network of Young Women in Leadership and Governance is established with the intent of equipping young women with leadership abilities, increasing their power in decision-making, encouraging women to participate in leadership and governance, connecting mentors and mentees, and fostering solidarity among women.
The vision is to see to an increase in the percentage of women occupying leadership positions and public offices by 2030.
