ChildFund Sport for Development is looking for a South Africa based Regional Project Coordinator to join their team.

Department: Sport for Development
Location: South Africa
Employment: Full-time, 12-month consultancy position (possibility of extension)

Professional Fee: 25,500 – 30,000 ZAR per month indicative based on experience

Organisational context

ChildFund Sport for Development partners to provide children and young people with opportunities to play, learn, and lead.

Through integrated sport and life skills learning, young people from vulnerable communities are equipped to overcome challenges, inspire positive social change, and take active leadership roles within their communities.

All partnerships contribute to building an equitable and inclusive future, where children are safe from violence — reflecting targets within the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

ChildFund Sport for Development is led by ChildFund Australia, an independent international development organisation that works to reduce poverty for children in developing communities and a member of the ChildFund Alliance – a global network of 12 organisations which assists almost 23 million children and their families in 70 countries.

Job overview

The Sport for Development (S4D) Regional Project Coordinator leads operations between the S4D Team and partner organisations in South Africa and neighbouring countries and will:

  1. Hold operational and reporting leadership for all projects
  2. Build a strong, supportive and productive environment for partnerships that extend to partner staff and coaches
  3. Ensure strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government, donors and ChildFund officers/departments
