FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.
FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.
FAME Foundation in partnership with Laureus Sport for Good held it’s monthly life development through sport as part of the PLAY it DREAM it initiative.
The event which featured 105 children in total, 80 girls and 25 boys was held at LEA Primary school, Utako, Abuja on May 11, 2023
The session was aimed to at using sport as a vehicle for peace, communication and education.
The session began with Mr. Omale Rapheal guiding light aerobic exercise, which all of the children enthusiastically engaged in. The Aerobic workouts lifted the children’s moods and motivated them to participate.
Ms. Moremi Ojudu, who was in charge of the mentoring session, spoke to the children about the value of education. She talked to the children about the importance of finishing school and the significance of education in their futures. She urged the children to keep learning and with knowledge, they can grow up to be what the like. She warned the children against fighting, bullying, and other bad behavior, telling them that those are not the traits of intelligent people.
The children participated in an interactive session by asking question and also stating what they had learned from the mentorship session.
The event ended with excitement and the children departed.
