The event was held at LEA Primary school and featured a total of 91 girls who participated actively in the mentorship session
Ms. Aderonke Bello, the event’s speaker, advised the girls to ensure that they continue with their education and not to be discouraged by life’s circumstances such as child marriage, unhealthy sexual behavior, pregnancy, sexual relationships, and many others.
She talked to the girls about the knowledge and skills that education will provide them with, as well as how this will boost their confidence amongst their pairs
She advised them that through education, they could achieve social inclusiveness while simultaneously closing the inequality gap.
She taught them that education is a critical means of increasing opportunity, combating poverty, and rising to greater heights.
She also encouraged them to look out for one another and support one another.
She counseled the girl to be assertive and constantly speak up in situations where they believe their opinions might not be understood.
She also encouraged them to speak positive affirmations to one another and to themselves.
