FAME Foundation Set To Hold National Breakdance Championship Finale
FAME Foundation, a non-governmental organization based in Abuja is set to hold the National Breakdance Championship Finale in partnership with the French embassy in Nigeria.
This event aims to empower the youth through sports under the PLAY it DREAM it Initiative, strengthening the inclusion of young people and vulnerable people through sports, will inspire and teach valuable life skills to young people, particularly those that are consistently underserved, excluded, or economically disadvantaged.
Following rigorous qualifiers held in Kaduna, Kano, Port Harcourt, Abuja, and Lagos, a total of 32 exceptional finalists emerged, securing their places in the upcoming championship finale. FAME Foundation has planned a series of activities for these breakers, including the ‘’Play it Dream it Capacity-building workshop for Breakdancers’’ which will be held on the 13th of January, 2024.
Distinguished speakers, experts in their respective fields, will delve into various topics such as emotional intelligence, skills development, creating timeless experiences in the sporting zone, and maintaining a balanced diet as a breakdancer among others.
The grand finale is slated for January 14, 2024, at the Indoor Stadium Hall, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. This prestigious event will feature professional judges overseeing the competition.
The stakes are high, with the overall winner, a bboy and a bgirl, set to receive substantial cash prizes and an all-expenses-paid trip to France for a breakdance competition. The second runner-up will also be awarded cash prize, while all finalists can anticipate receiving other notable consolation prizes.
FAME Foundation invites all to witness this extraordinary celebration of talent and resilience, as the National Breakdance Championship Finale promises to be an unforgettable showcase of skill and achievement in the vibrant world of breakdancing.
