FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.

Laureus Sport for Good, London, has extended its collaboration with FAME Foundation.
FAME Foundation, an NGO based in Abuja, has entered into another one-year partnership with Laureus Sport for Good, following the successful implementation of a year project. This project is under the ‘Play it Dream it’ initiative of the organization.
‘Play it Dream it’ Initiative is aimed at utilizing sports as a catalyst to achieve Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria. It encompasses a multifaceted approach, focusing on improving access to quality and affordable education, reducing early marriage, promoting gender equality and sports participation, and contributing significantly to the reduction of inequalities among children and young adults in Nigeria.
Laureus Sports for Good, a London-based not-for-profit and global organization, has expressed its satisfaction with the impactful projects executed by FAME Foundation. This project has reached and positively influenced over 1500 direct and indirect beneficiaries in grassroots communities in Abuja, Nigeria.
Speaking to the press, Ms. Aderonke Ogunleye-Bello, the Executive Director of FAME Foundation, has conveyed her excitement about the renewed partnership,

She further stated that with the renewed partnership, Play It Dream It Initiative will be reaching more young children through several activities like Football for Development, weekly and monthly sporting activities, and exercises, including mentorship and empowerment programs.
