FAME Foundation in partnership with the French Embassy in Nigeria organized a Capacity Building Workshop for Olympic coaches on 25 June, 2024 at the Media Center, National Stadium, Abuja.
The Capacity Building Workshop for Olympic Coaches was held to enhance coaching strategies and athlete management techniques ahead of the upcoming Olympic Games. The workshop featured two prominent speakers who addressed critical aspects of coaching in elite sports.

The legendary former Super Eagle Coach Samson Siasia and Mrs. Ajayi Kehinde Theresa, Director of Press and Public Relations, among others. Their contributions significantly enhanced the discussions and provided a wealth of knowledge to the Coaches.
Mr. Olumide Bamiduro commenced the workshop with an insightful session focusing on several key areas for modern coaching in Olympic sports.
Mr. Bamiduro emphasized the importance of maintaining high ethical standards in coaching practices. This includes fostering a culture of fair play, respect, and integrity among athletes, coaches, and support staff. Ethical dilemmas specific to elite sports contexts were discussed, highlighting case studies and best practices.
He delved into effective periodization strategies tailored to the demands of Olympic sports. This included an exploration of macrocycles, mesocycles, and microcycles, emphasizing the need for strategic planning to optimize athlete performance during peak competitions.
