FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society. FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.

FAME Foundation Celebrates Folashade Oluwafemiayo
FAME Foundation, an NGO based in Abuja, is excited to celebrate the impressive achievements of its ambassador, Folashade Oluwafemiayo. Her recent win in the women’s over 86kg para powerlifting category at the Paralympics in Paris is a major milestone, highlighting her dedication and exceptional talent.
Speaking to the press, Arabinrin Aderonke, Executive Director of FAME Foundation, took a moment to convey her heartfelt congratulations and reflect on this monumental achievement,
“To our Ambassador, Folashade Oluwafemiayo, a big congratulations on your historic gold medal victory in the women’s over 86kg para powerlifting category at the Paris Paralympics. Your success is not only a personal triumph but a proud moment for us all at FAME Foundation. We remember your journey fondly, including your participation in our Para Powerlifting Games in Lagos last year, an event held to honor the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.”
She further highlighted the global impact of Folashade’s accomplishments,
“Your exceptional achievement, particularly setting a new world record with a lift of 166kg, has elevated Nigeria’s pride on the global stage and demonstrated the extraordinary potential of para-athletes everywhere.”
Arabinrin Aderonke concluded by expressing deep gratitude and admiration,
“Folashade, your dedication, resilience, and commitment to advancing the Paralympic Games have been nothing short of inspiring. We are honored to have supported you and to celebrate this monumental success together. Your impact and goodwill have enriched FAME Foundation, and we look forward to celebrating many more of your future triumphs.”
She also extends her warmest congratulations to Bose Omolayo, who achieved a silver medal in the women’s up to 79kg para powerlifting category with a lift of 145kg, and to Esther Nworgu, who earned silver in the women’s up to 41kg category.
