FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.
FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.
FAME Foundation launches a new initiative, Climate on The Streets, on November 28, 2025. This initiative is under the Green Ball Project and it conducts street interviews to explore public awareness and opinions on climate change, engaging members of the public in candid conversations to capture a wide range of perspectives, knowledge levels, and common misconceptions about the climate crisis.
Climate on The Streets enhances dialogue, promotes understanding of climate-related issues, and emphasizes the importance of community participation in addressing environmental challenges. Through these interactions, the program offers insight into how climate change impacts various communities and encourages reflection on individual and collective roles in promoting a sustainable environment.
Following its start in Abuja, Climate on The Streets will expand to other parts of Nigeria, bringing conversations on climate awareness to additional cities and communities. Each location contributes to building a comprehensive understanding of public perceptions and knowledge of climate issues across the country, helping FAME Foundation identify areas where education and engagement are most needed.
Through this initiative, FAME Foundation reinforces its commitment to community-driven solutions, environmental education, and informed public engagement. By providing a platform for ordinary citizens to share their views, the program supports the development of strategies that encourage collective action toward a sustainable future.
Climate on The Streets reflects the organization’s ongoing efforts to make climate awareness accessible and actionable, demonstrating that addressing environmental challenges requires both informed communities and active participation.
