FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society. FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.

Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, began their WNBA Tour with a 63–89 defeat to the the Los Angeles Sparks in a spirited preseason clash in the United States.
In what marked a historic outing—making Nigeria the first nation to face a WNBA franchise—the encounter formed a crucial part of D’Tigress’ preparations for the forthcoming FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
While the Sparks eventually secured a 26-point victory, the Nigerian side delivered a resilient and commendable performance against top-tier opposition.
