FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.
FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.
FAME Foundation Receives Gender Advocacy and Social Impact Award
FAME Foundation was honored with the Gender Advocacy and Social Impact Award at the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards, held on 25 June 2026 at the Bukhari Bello Auditorium, National Human Rights Commission Headquarters, Maitama, Abuja. The event brought together media professionals, policymakers, and civil society actors to explore the role of digital media in strengthening democratic governance in Nigeria.
The lecture, titled From Clicks to Credibility: Digital Media’s Role in Deepening Nigeria’s Democracy, examined how digital platforms influence public discourse, accountability, and citizen engagement. Keynote speakers and panelists emphasized the importance of ethical journalism, fact-checking, and using media as a tool for national development.
Lukman Laleye Babalola, the Publisher and CEO of Royal Prince Media Services, highlighted the organization’s commitment to promoting credible journalism and responsible leadership. During his address, he stressed the need for media personnel to provide proper context for their content to prevent misinterpretation.
The Gender Advocacy and Social Impact Award recognizes the sustained efforts of FAME Foundation in advancing gender equality, empowering women and girls, and advocating against gender-based violence.
This recognition affirms the impact of the work done by FAME Foundation in capacity building, policy influence, and community engagement. FAME Foundation thanks Royal Prince Media Service for the honor and remains dedicated to promoting gender justice and sustainable development in Nigeria and beyond.
