FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.
FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.
Every month, FAME celebrates her volunteers, who have indeed contributed and impacted into the lives of women and girls in our society.
Though the month of October surfaced with a lot of challenges and setbacks, we at FAME foundation choose to stay strong and hopeful.
On this note we celebrate our volunteer of the month of October, Ms. Ruth Gumwesh, who has been a dedicated and committed volunteer with FAME. She has impacted so many lives by being a voice to the voiceless in her community and has educated women and young girls on their rights.
Ruth Gumwesh is a public servant with the Maritime Academy of Nigeria. Despite her busy schedule, her aspiration is to touch every life she comes in contact with. She believes that Consistency, focus, determination and hard work is the gateway to success. She wants to be remembered as one who touched lives and spoke out for the voiceless in the society.
We celebrate and appreciate Ms. Ruth for her dedication, commitment, and relentless efforts towards the betterment of women and girls in our society.
