FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society.
FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.
FAME Foundation held the Climate Education, Awareness, and Advocacy Program (CLEAP) at L.E.A Primary School, Apo Resettlement, Abuja, on March 12, 2025, as part of the Green Ball Project.
The program engaged and educated 65 students, consisting of 45 girls and 20 boys, on how to stay safe during the hot weather. The session focused on tips such as staying hydrated, wearing appropriate clothing, and seeking shade to prevent heat-related illnesses.
The speaker, Ms. Kemisola Ibitoye, Director of Programs, FAME Foundation, addressed the students on the importance of staying safe during hot weather. She emphasized the need to drink plenty of water, wear light clothing, stay in cool places, eat healthy foods, and rest when necessary.
The program ended with an interactive and engaging question-and-answer session, where the pupils asked questions about the effects of hot weather and how to stay safe. The session allowed them to express their thoughts, ask questions, and learn more about the topic.
Through this discussion, the students gained valuable knowledge that will help them protect themselves and educate others in their communities.
