FAME foundation was established to solicit, encourage and advance the social, emotional and economic wellbeing of women and girls as well as formulate programmes within the framework of national development plan with a view to enhancing the participation of women and advocate for gender parity in the society. FAME foundation firmly believe that the entire nation, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment.

FAME Foundation Holds 2026 Annual Board Meeting
FAME Foundation held its Annual Board Meeting on Thursday, 10 September 2026, in Abuja, bringing together Board members and the FAME Foundation team to review the organisation’s progress, programmes, achievements, and priorities.
The meeting was chaired by Ms. Victoria Minaise, Chairperson of the FAME Foundation Board, and provided an opportunity for the Board to reflect on the organisation’s work and provide strategic guidance on strengthening its programmes, partnerships, visibility, sustainability, and impact.
Updates were shared on key initiatives including Play It Dream It, HerSTEM, GreenBall, Femicide Tracker, Dance for Good, Hall of Shame, and Obinrin. The Board also reviewed major programme activities and achievements recorded in 2026, including FAME Foundation’s work in sport for development, STEM inclusion, climate action, gender equality, and social accountability.
The meeting further focused on strengthening partnerships and resource mobilisation, increasing organisational visibility, and exploring opportunities to expand FAME Foundation’s impact and reach.
Board members shared valuable insights and recommendations and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the organisation’s growth and strategic direction.
FAME Foundation appreciates the Board Chairperson and all Board members for their time, guidance, and continued commitment to advancing the organisation’s mission.
The meeting concluded with a tour of the FAME Foundation office and a group photograph with members of the Board and the team.
