The International Women’s day celebrated on the 8th of March every year is a global day set aside to celebrate the economic, cultural, social, and political achievement of women. The day also marks a call to action for the advancement of gender equality.

This year’s theme, “Choose to Challenge” is a wake-up call and places responsibility on society and the world as a whole to choose to challenge and call out gender bias, gender stereotypes, and inequality in society. We should collectively help create an all-encompassing world where women and men are equally represented.

The International Women’s Day team stated, “A challenging world is an alert world” therefore, we as individuals have the responsibility to choose to challenge gender inequality and help raise awareness to create a society where everyone is alert on the issues regarding women.

FAME Foundation calls on every individual, society, government agencies & bodies, civil societies, and non-governmental organizations to work actively to support women’s issues, celebrate women, and challenge the stereotypes women face in the nation.

Above all, every woman out there should know that she is loved. Let us all support one another and work together to create a better world for us all.

From challenge comes change, so let’s choose to challenge!

Happy International Women’s Day
