FAME Foundation, in partnership with Laureus Sport for Good, organized its first of many life skills development through sport sessions for 92 children under its Play it Dream it (PD) project.
The event which took place on, April 6, 2023, at the football field of LEA primary school, Kpadna, commenced the first session with light aerobics guided by a PD Coach, Musa Mohammed Tanko, in which all of the children took part in, forming a team, building resilience and engaging with one another while learning team building and team work.
There was also a mentorship session led by Coach Dinah Abohwo, after the aerobic session. She began the session with a few sports-related quiz with gifts items, and the children were delighted to respond, which boosted their spirits and prepared them for the theme of the day. She taught the children about teamwork, adversity, dealing with authority, concentration, and confidence, (TADCC). She also discussed good communication and the importance of participating in this sport session.
The students also participated in an interactive session during which they asked questions and discussed what they had learned from the mentorship session.
After the training, the children were given refreshments and music to dance to.
Happy International Day of Sports for Peace and Development!
