The event which featured 93 children in total, 68 girls and 25 boys was held at LEA Primary school, Jabi, Abuja on June 22, 2023.
The session was aimed at using sports as a tool to promote teamwork, education and effective communication.
The session commenced with light aerobics guided by a PD coach, Musa Mohammed Tanko, in which all of the children participated.
They formed a team, and engaged in sports that helped them improve their resilience and strengthen their zeal for cooperation.
Ms. Fatima Mohammed led the mentorship session and taught children about health and wellness.
She urged children to exercise and eat nutritiously on a regular basis. She taught the kids about the dangers of not exercising and how it could harm them as they aged.
She further advised that the children practice healthy eating habits and avoid consuming too much sugar.
She encouraged children to drink plenty of water in the morning and whenever they ate.
She added that the children consume a well-balanced diet to ensure that all nutrients in their bodies are adequate.
The children took part in an interactive session, asking questions and sharing what they had learned from the mentorship session.
The session concluded with excitement, and the children departed.
