FAME Educated Students on the Importance of Tree Planting.

FAME educated school pupils on the importance of tree planting and its effects on the environment. 

In October 2023, FAME Foundation organized Climate Education, Awareness, and Advocacy Program (CLEAP) at L.E.A Primary School in Jabi Padna, Abuja. This program, under the Green Ball Project, aimed to educate and raise awareness among students.

The event, which featured 60 pupils, 40 girls, and 20 boys, was held at L.E.A Primary School, Jabi Padna, Abuja on October 26, 2023.

The main focus was to teach the students about the significance of tree planting and its direct impact on the climate.

Ms. Kemisola Ibitoye, Project Officer on Climate Action at FAME Foundation, led the interactive session, sharing her knowledge about the link between tree planting and a healthy climate.

She started by explaining the critical role trees play in absorbing carbon dioxide, producing oxygen, and creating a sustainable environment.

Through engaging discussions, she emphasized how trees contribute to fighting climate change and the importance of environmental preservation.  Ms. Kemisola emphasized how trees nourish the planet, cleanse the air, manage rainfall, improve soil quality, provide shelter, and help avoid flooding.

The interactive session was aimed to foster an understanding of environmental conservation. The outreach focused on informative discussions and engaging activities to help students grasp the significance of their role in protecting the environment.

By delivering essential insights about climate change and the significance of tree planting in ensuring a sustainable future, FAME Foundation successfully educated and inspired these young minds to become proactive in preserving the planet.
